The picture you see above is of a University of Benin student who was shot down during the NUC [National Universities Commission] Biometric clearance currently going on in University of Benin.
The victim has not yet been identified, and the shooting has been termed random, he was rushed down via ambulance to University of Benin Teaching Hospital [UBTH] where we are hopeful he survived as he was shot by the side of the head. Update would be given later.
Student are enraged at the SUG Parliament for trying to cut corners in handling the clearance, as they are been paid for 13 weeks,each week for each of the 13 faculties..but trust Nigerians....they tried to cut the process down to 3 weeks hence crowding the students up in the University's Sport Complex.
A student who was diagnosed asthmatic collapsed during the stressful process on tuesday and was reported dead even though the death was kept quiet, well they couldn't keep a gunshot quiet this time.
